Parliament reconvenes today at AICC

Parliament is set to reconvene today, Tuesday, 15 October 2024, at an unconventional location, the Dome of the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).
This temporary relocation comes as the main chamber of Parliament undergoes essential renovations.
In a statement issued on Monday, 30 September 2024, Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin announced the venue change, reassuring Members of Parliament (MPs) that legislative duties would continue uninterrupted at the AICC during the repairs.
The fifth meeting of the fourth session will kick off as MPs gather to address pressing national issues, despite the unusual setting.
The renovation of the Parliament's main chamber aims to enhance its functionality and improve the legislative environment for future sessions.
