Suicide: Man, 25, hangs himself

A 25-year-old man, Kofi Akwa, has allegedly committed suicide by hanging at Kokoben in the Ejisu Municipality of the Ashanti Region.
The incident occurred on Saturday, 12 June 2021, around 10 am.
Akwa was found hanging by a rope tied to a ceiling fan hook in an uncompleted building.
The Assemblymember for the area, Mr Kwarteng Ernest, told Class News’ regional correspondent Elisha Adarkwah that the deceased climbed to the top of the ceiling with a ladder and tied the rope before he hanged himself.
The body has been conveyed by the police to the Emina Hospital morgue awaiting autopsy.
The police has commenced investigations into the incident.
