Trasacco Estates Development Company Limited has rejected what it describes as a “baseless land dispute” threatening its transformative residential project along the Accra-Tema motorway.

The company stated that the disputed land was lawfully acquired from the Tema Development Corporation (TDC) under a 2004 agreement, formalised in a lease dated 29th November 2012, covering 270.1 acres.

For nearly twelve years, Trasacco says it has invested heavily in developing the area, allowing third parties to acquire and build their properties without interference.

According to Trasacco, its clients enjoyed peaceful occupation until recently, when individuals seeking to lay claim to the land allegedly resorted to whipping up religious sentiments.

The company expressed regret that the name of His Eminence, the National Chief Imam, was falsely linked to the matter.

“Our Director of Security, Col. Salifu (Rtd.), contacted the Office of the Chief Imam, which confirmed that no such publication or claim was authorised,” Trasacco noted, describing the attempt as a “desperate exploitation of religious sensitivities.”

The company further alleged that military personnel, purportedly deployed from Jubilee House, aided encroachers in the unlawful demolition of fence walls and properties belonging to Trasacco and its clients.

These actions, it said, were carried out without due verification or engagement with the company, causing “significant distress” to families who had invested in the development.

Trasacco also dismissed media reports suggesting it had blocked access to any group, including members of a “Muslim Community.”

The company described such reports as misleading, inflammatory, and intended to distort the facts.

Calling for swift action, Trasacco urged authorities to launch an immediate investigation into the demolitions and ensure the arrest and prosecution of those responsible.

“The rule of law must prevail, and justice must be served. Trasacco urges the authorities to protect our clients’ rights and ensure accountability.

We remain committed to delivering quality homes and a thriving community in Tema, undeterred by this orchestrated disruption,” the company said.
