W/R: 3 busted for attempting to launch Russia’s Wagner military group at Diabene

The Western Regional Police Command has arrested three individuals in Diabene, Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis, suspected of having connections with Russia's Wagner mercenary group.
The arrests were made subsequent to a public gathering organised by the individuals, during which they displayed and wore flags associated with Wagner and Russia.
The three suspects have been identified as Evans (25 years old), Michael Asiedu (23 years old), and Ernest Asiedu (26 years old).
Accra-based citinewsroom reported that the suspects who are allegedly supported by a sponsor based in Australia, mobilised around 20 youth for the purpose of establishing a military group at the Diabene community park. However, the police intervened and apprehended them based on a tip-off.
Legal proceedings are currently underway regarding the matter.
