Ashaiman gets free health screening Saturday

The German Cooperative Development Agency (GIZ) and Kasapreko Company Limited, in partnership with Open Arc Foundation, an NGO, will, on Saturday, 8 October 2022, organise a free health screening exercise for the people of Ashaiman in the Greater Accra Region
It is expected to start at 8:00 a.m. and end at 4:00 p.m. at the Ashiaman Presby School Park.
As part of the health screening exercise, the participants will be given some medication and their National Health Insurance cards renewed.
Speaking in a brief interview after the flyers for the exercise were released in Accra, Mr Gilbert Aggrey, also known as Abeiku Sanatana, who is the Executive Director of Open Arc Foundation, said the exercise is to enhance human lives through mentorship, education, the provision of healthcare, volunteerism and opportunities for the less privileged in the society.
According to him, the exercise will be under the auspices of the Ghana Health Service, the Ashiaman Municipal Assembly and the National Health Insurance Authority and many others.
He added that the exercise is in line with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) (3), which is: "To ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.”
