Dzata Foundation hosts youth mental health engagement to mark World Mental Health Day 2025

In commemoration of World Mental Health Day 2025, the Dzata Foundation will organise a live social media youth engagement event from Afienya in the Greater Accra Region with the aim of promoting open conversations on mental health and improving access to mental health services across Ghana.
The virtual engagement will bring together young people, mental health advocates, and professional resource persons who will discuss ways to demystify mental health, address stigma, and highlight the importance of seeking professional support.
Representatives of the Foundation emphasised that mental health remains a critical national concern that demands urgent attention and sustained public awareness.
They noted that many young Ghanaians continue to face emotional and psychological pressures that often go unaddressed due to stigma, misinformation, and limited access to care.
The initiative will be streamed live across major social media platforms, providing a safe and interactive space for participants to share experiences, ask questions, and learn about available counselling and mental health support services in the country.
