Ignore public announcement about recruitment of nurses – MoH tells public
The Ministry of Health (MoH) has said it did not make any public announcement with regards to the recruitment of general nurses.
This comes on the back of a notice in the mass media about the recruitment of general nurses by the Ministry.
“We wish to state categorically that the Ministry did not make the public announcement in reference and should, therefore, be ignored,” the MoH said in a statement issued on Monday, 11 March 2024.
It entreated the general public to take note that it does not “charge any fees for the recruitment and posting of health workers.”
It, therefore, advised prospective applicants, “to desist from making any payments to individuals or groups in this regard”.
The MoH also revealed that it has made “significant progress in the process of recruiting more general nurses and other health workers into the health sector”.
