The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced a significant parliamentary victory in the 2024 general elections, tentatively securing 185 seats nationwide, according to the party’s National Communications Officer, Sammy Gyamfi.

Speaking at a press conference on Sunday, 8 December, Mr Gyamfi revealed that the party’s internal collation of results from polling stations across the country points to a decisive win.

“Our internal collation shows that the NDC has tentatively won 185 parliamentary seats. This reflects the overwhelming confidence that Ghanaians have placed in us to represent them in Parliament,” he stated.

He noted that the data was meticulously gathered by the party’s agents, who ensured transparency and accuracy during the collation process.

“This result demonstrates a clear majority for the NDC in Parliament, giving the party a strong mandate to pursue its legislative agenda,” Mr Gyamfi added.

While expressing optimism about the party's performance, he urged supporters to remain vigilant and await the Electoral Commission’s (EC) official declaration of the final results.
