Akufo-Addo finalises list of MMDCEs

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will today, Thursday, 16 September 2021, submit a list of nominated Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) to the Minister of Local Government and Regional Re-organisation, Mr Dan Botwe.
This was disclosed by the Director of Communications at the Presidency, Mr Eugene Arhin in a Facebook post.
Mr Dan Botwe, he said, is expected to announce the list very soon.
The government has been criticised for the delay in appointing new MMDCEs, with some critics arguing that it is stalling development across the country.
However, the Presidency has rejected such arguments.
