The National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Stephen Ntim, has revealed that he has had meaningful dialogues with several presidential aspirants who did not secure victory in the party's special delegates conference.

"I have personally visited some of the former Flagbearer aspirants in their homes and had conversations with them, except for two. In due course, I will visit the remaining two as well," Ntim shared during an interview on Oman FM.

He went on to provide a list of individuals he had visited, stating, “I’ve been to Ken’s house to speak with him, I’ve visited Addai Nimoh’s home, and I’ve also gone to Alan and Kyerematen Agyarko’s homes”.

Responding to concerns about Alan Kyerematen, who withdrew from the November 4 contest after placing third with 95 votes in the Special Delegates Conference, Ntim dismissed notions of resentment towards the party.

During his interactions with Alan, Ntim acknowledged that certain concerns were raised but emphasized that there were no indications of a desire to sever ties with the party.

“They did bring up some concerns,” Ntim admitted, “but I want to emphasise that, as the National Chairman, I took the initiative to visit them in their homes and have open conversations. While they may not be 100% okay, they are in a better place."

“I personally visited Alan in his home to speak with him. Despite the reasons he gave for boycotting the Flagbearership election, he did not display any overt signs of anger towards the party. One might have anticipated strong resentment, but from our discussion, there was nothing to suggest that he was harboring any lingering anger."
