The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Awutu Senya East, Mr Seth Sabah Serwonoo Banini, has assured residents that Kasoa is on a path of transformation, citing significant improvements in sanitation and ongoing efforts to correct negative perceptions about the area.

The MCE made the remarks on Friday during a working visit to Class Media Group, where he engaged the media on developments within the municipality.

According to him, Kasoa has seen remarkable progress in cleanliness, particularly in the business districts, over the past few months.

“If you come to Kasoa now, it is sharply different from what existed a few months back,” he said, attributing the changes to active public engagement and continuous education on sanitation.

He explained that the Assembly has prioritised community sensitisation, urging residents and traders to take greater responsibility for their environment.

This, he said, has been critical in achieving lasting improvements.

Mr Banini also addressed concerns about Kasoa’s image, noting that the town is often unfairly associated with negative news.

“People think bad things are going on in Kasoa, but that is not the reality.

Kasoa is different, and we are working to set the record straight,” he emphasised.

The MCE said the Awutu Senya East Municipal Assembly remains committed to combining sanitation initiatives with a strategic rebranding of Kasoa to attract investment and foster development.

He stressed that the goal is to present Kasoa not only as a fast-growing town but also as a cleaner, safer, and more responsible city.
