Ayariga supports creation of new region for Bawku

Mr Osman Ayariga, the Deputy National Youth Organizer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has expressed his support for the creation of a new region for the people of Bawku.
Mr Ayariga believes that establishing a new region would spur development and create employment opportunities in the area.
During an interview with Class93.1 FM's news as part of the NDC's National Campaign Tour in the Upper East Region, Mr Ayariga, a lawyer, affirmed that the request by the Bawku Naba, Naba Asigri Abugrago Azoka II, is constitutionally valid.
He noted that the only prerequisite is a feasibility study to verify the area's eligibility for regional status.
Mr Ayariga emphasized that creating a new region would bring numerous benefits to Bawku, such as enhanced infrastructure, better access to social services, and increased job opportunities.
