Bawumia , Napo showing dynamic partnership-Fifi Boafo asserts
Mr. Fiifi Boafo, the spokesperson for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Vice Presidential Candidate, has passionately advocated for the Bawumia-Napo ticket, asserting their unique capabilities to lead Ghana.
Mr Boafo highlighted the strong partnership between Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, known as Napo, lauding their collective achievements and commitment to Ghana’s progress.
Mr Boafo emphasized Dr. Bawumia’s impressive record as Vice President, describing his accomplishments as both unprecedented and transformational, in stark contrast to the tenure of former President John Dramani Mahama during his time as Vice President.
“Dr. Bawumia has introduced initiatives that have tangibly improved the lives of ordinary Ghanaians.
His work over the last eight years truly stands out in the history of Ghanaian politics,” he remarked.
He detailed how Bawumia implemented 35 key initiatives across sectors such as digital infrastructure, healthcare, and economic reforms, which he said have significantly alleviated challenges faced by Ghanaians. Praising Bawumia's unwavering commitment, integrity, and incorruptibility, Boafo stated,
“There is a certain composure and integrity that Bawumia embodies.
It’s rare to see a leader of his calibre—someone so committed to serving without being swayed by external influences.”
Turning to Napo, Mr Boafo spotlighted the achievements of Dr. Opoku Prempeh in education and energy, contrasting his record with that of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Vice Presidential Candidate, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.
Mr Boafo credited Napo with leading the transformative Free Senior High School (SHS) initiative, expanding Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) education, and upgrading classroom resources from chalk to modern marker boards. Additionally, he commended Napo for restoring allowances for trainee teachers and for his effective handling of the “dumsor” crisis as Energy Minister.
Mr Boafo argued that the combination of Bawumia’s economic expertise and Napo's successes in education and energy makes them the ideal team to steer Ghana through current global challenges.
“The world is going through financial challenges, and now more than ever, Ghana needs achievers with a proven track record.
Bawumia and Napo have shown they can deliver the bold solutions needed for our times,” he concluded.
He spoke during an interview on Kumasi-based Ash FM.
