Bawumia running mate: Kokofu in the mix
The Executive Director of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Dr Henry Kwabena Kokofu, is emerging as a potential running mate for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) flagbearer.
Other speculated candidates include Education Minister Yaw Adutwum, Energy Minister Mathew Opoku Prempeh, and Chief of Staff Frema Osei Opare, all hailing from the Ashanti Region, the party's stronghold.
Dr Kokofu, in addition to his Ashanti background, brings extensive political experience, having served in various capacities. His calm demeanor and expertise in environmental sustainability are cited as key factors in the Vice President's interest in him.
