Mr. Mustapha Gbande, the Deputy General Secretary of Operations for the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has criticized Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's recent media engagement, describing it as a "supplementary manifesto" intended to enhance his image after failing to deliver as effectively as former President John Dramani Mahama did during his manifesto launch in the Central Region.

According to Mr. Gbande, the media engagement was an attempt by the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) flagbearer to appear favourable in the eyes of Ghanaians. 

He added that Dr Bawumia used the presentation of his supplementary manifesto to waste the precious time of journalists especially being a Sunday.

He alleged that reading of the Supplementary manifesto was an attempt by the NDC to hijack the media from publishing the manifesto details of the NDC  

However, he deemed the presentation a complete waste of time, arguing that it failed to meet the expectations placed on the Vice President.

He further noted that Dr. Bawumia's presentation did not bring any significant changes in what he referred to as the "second part" of the NPP's manifesto launch. 

He asserted that the flagbearer failed to persuade Ghanaians with this so-called supplementary manifesto, calling it a disappointment for both the party and Dr. Bawumia's team.

Mr. Gbande also highlighted that the Vice President struggled to address questions concerning the collapse of Cocobod, which, in his view, demonstrated that Dr. Bawumia is out of touch with the realities facing ordinary Ghanaians especially being the head of the Economic Management Team.
