Chief of Staff pays glowing tribute to late President Atta-Mills

Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, has hailed the late President Prof John Evans Atta Mills as a beacon of peace and a bridge between Ghana’s post-military era and its democratic journey.
Delivering a speech at the 13th John Evans Atta-Mills Commemorative Lecture, Mr. Debrah praised the former President’s unwavering dedication to peace, patriotism, and moral integrity.
He described Prof. Mills as a leader whose calm and principled approach to politics set a standard for ethical governance.
"Prof. Mills had a deep love for national stability," Mr. Debrah noted, highlighting the late President’s ability to manage political tensions with dignity and respect for opposing views.
He added that Prof. Mills’ legacy remains a guiding light for today’s leaders who are committed to dialogue, unity, and democratic values.
The commemorative event, held annually in honour of the late statesman, drew together a host of dignitaries, political figures, academics, and members of the public, all gathered to celebrate his lasting contributions to Ghana’s democratic development.
