Dec. polls: Mahama warns EC to wake -up

Former President John Mahama has issued a stern warning to the Electoral Commission (EC), urging the body to "sit up" and "wake- up" to avoid confusion on Election Day. Speaking during his tour of the Greater Accra Region, Mr Mahama emphasized the need for the EC to be vigilant and proactive in ensuring a smooth and transparent electoral process.
Mr Mahama cautioned that any lapses or complacency by the EC could lead to chaos and disputes during the elections, highlighting the importance of the commission's role in maintaining order and credibility.
His remarks come amid growing concerns about the integrity of the electoral process as the country prepares for a crucial vote.
The former President outlined key areas where the EC must focus its efforts:
Ensuring accuracy and transparency in voter registration and verification processes. Addressing any discrepancies or irregularities in the voter register. Providing clear guidelines and thorough training for polling station staff.Guaranteeing adequate security and logistics for Election Day
