Deputy Presidential Spokesperson assures Ghanaians of good governance and accountability

Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Shamima Muslim has assured Ghanaians of the Mahama administration’s commitment to good governance, transparency and accountability.
Speaking in an interview with Accra-based CTV, she revealed that the government has set up a monitoring and evaluation team to assess the performance of all government appointees.
According to her, the primary objective of this team is to ensure that appointees execute their duties efficiently and effectively.
She further stated that President Mahama has directed all officials to seal loopholes that lead to resource wastage, warning that those who fail to comply will face sanctions, including termination.
Additionally, she noted that appointees found guilty of bribery and corruption would be prosecuted, as part of efforts to uphold accountability in governance.
Shamima Muslim emphasized that the government remains dedicated to restoring public trust in leadership and strengthening institutions for national development.
