Economic woes: We’ll ride the storm; turn things around – Bawumia
Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has expressed confidence that government will ride the storm and turn things around despite the difficulties and uncertainties currently facing the nation.
“As government we recognise the difficulties and uncertainty we are experiencing in the world and the country but with new strategies, fiscal discipline, hard work and renewed strength, by the Grace of God, we are confident that we will ride the storm and turn things around,” Dr Bawumia said.
The Vice President gave the assurance when he joined some Christians to celebrate the 70th and 90th anniversaries of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church (Tema) and St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church (Korle Gonno) respectively on Sunday, 20 November 2022.
On the same day, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo when he joined the Akyem Abuakwa Presbytery to mark the Centenary Thanksgiving Service and Dedication of Centenary Complex in Kyebi appealed to Ghanaians to bear his government in prayer and also trust his administration to get Ghana out of the current economic crisis.
“I know times are hard, but whatever we need to do to bring the nation out of the state it is in, is being done.
"We are confident that we will soon come out of it.”
“Just keep faith with us and pray with us. All will be well,” he remarked.
Ghanaians are currently facing economic crisis are fuel prices, inflation, food prices, transportation and general cost of living are all all-time high across the country.
