Mrs. Theresa Aba Kufuor, the wife of Ghana's second President of the Fourth Republic, John Agyekum Kufuor, has passed away.
She was 88.
Mrs. Kufuor, born on 25 October 1935, peacefully departed on Sunday, 1 October 2023, just 24 days before her 89th birthday.
Former President John Agyekum Kufuor was present at home when his wife of over 55 years bid farewell.
Mrs. Kufuor had been facing health challenges in recent years.
She maintained a low profile away from the media and politics despite being the First Lady for eight years between 2001 and 2009.
