I'm ready to rescue Ghana: Apraku

Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku, a prominent economist, has expressed his aspirations to become the flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and lead the party into the 2024 general election.
Recognising the critical state of the nation, Dr. Apraku believes that Ghana requires a leader capable of making tough decisions and inspiring hope among the people.
Having previously demonstrated his leadership abilities during President Kufuor's tenure, Dr. Apraku is confident in his capacity to transform the country with a clear sense of direction and a shared vision for the future.
“I have done it in President Kufuor’s era and I am ready to transform this country with a clear sense of direction and a shared vision of the future,” he said.
In pursuit of his candidacy, he submitted his nomination form at the NPP's headquarters in Asylum Down, Accra, on Monday. He has prepared himself for the presidential primary scheduled for November 4, 2023.
After an initial visit to submit his forms, Dr. Apraku completed his documents as instructed by the party's elections committee.
With unwavering support from his campaign team, he successfully resubmitted his nomination form, positioning himself as a strong contender.
Dr. Apraku is known for his grassroots approach, diplomatic skills, and practical expertise in economics. He envisions delivering genuine positive change that will rejuvenate the economy and bring prosperity to the Ghanaian people.
The NPP has marked August 26 for its Super Delegates Congress and November 4 for the National Congress.
These significant events will determine the flag bearer for the NPP in the upcoming 2024 general election.
