I promise you a leaner gov’t if I become president - Mahama

The 2024 flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has committed to streamlining the government if elected as president in the upcoming December 7 polls.
Speaking during a special live broadcast themed: “Mahama Conversations,” the NDC flagbeareer outlined his plans to reduce the number of ministers and decrease government spending, with the savings redirected towards improving the lives of Ghanaians, particularly essential workers such as teachers.
"I promise you a leaner government. We’ll have fewer ministers and cut government expenditure, and any savings that we make will be used to better the lives of our teachers and other national workers,” Mr. Mahama emphasised.
