Joyce Bawah commends Stan Dogbe, Omane Boamah, others for remaining loyal to Mahama after 2016 polls
Joyce Bawah Mogtari, special aide to former President John Dramani Mahama, has expressed her appreciation for the loyalty shown by key individuals within the party following the 2016 elections.
In particular, she commended Stan Dogbe, Dr Edward Omane Boamah, and others who remained steadfast in their support of Mahama during a challenging period for the NDC.
In a post on social media, Ms. Mogtari highlighted the importance of loyalty and unity within the party, especially after the defeat in 2016, which saw the NDC lose both the presidency and the parliamentary majority to the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
She noted that while many figures distanced themselves from the party’s leadership, the commitment of Stan Dogbe, Omane Boamah, and several others to Mahama and the NDC’s ideals played a crucial role in sustaining party morale.

Ms. Mogtari praised the dedication of these individuals, pointing out that their loyalty was instrumental in helping Mahama maintain his political presence and eventually returning as the party’s flagbearer for the 2020 and 2024 elections.
She emphasised that the support of such key figures was vital for the NDC's continued relevance and success in national politics.
Looking ahead to the upcoming December 7, 2024, elections, Ms. Mogtari expressed confidence that Mahama’s inner circle, including those she commended, would continue to work tirelessly to secure victory for the NDC.
She stressed the need for all members of the party to emulate their loyalty and dedication as the NDC gears up for another battle at the polls.
