Mahama has chosen the path to reform and transformation – Ato Forson

The Minister for Finance, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, has declared that President John Dramani Mahama is committed to pursuing a path of reform and transformation to revitalise Ghana’s economy.
Speaking in Parliament on Tuesday, 11th March, during the presentation of the 2025 Budget Statement, Dr Forson highlighted the government’s dedication to implementing policies aimed at fostering economic stability and national development.
According to Dr Forson, the Mahama-led administration is focused on introducing structural reforms to address economic challenges and promote long-term sustainability.
“Mahama has chosen the path to reform and transformation, ensuring that we build a resilient and inclusive economy,” he stated.
He emphasised that the government’s policies would prioritise job creation, infrastructural development, and improved social services.
The Finance Minister further explained that the administration is determined to restore economic confidence by implementing strategic policies designed to enhance productivity and efficiency.
He noted that the government’s commitment to transformation includes initiatives such as the 24-hour economy policy and targeted investments in key sectors.
“Our focus is on strengthening the foundations of the economy to ensure sustainable growth for the benefit of all Ghanaians,” he added.
Dr Forson urged Parliament and all stakeholders to support the government’s reform agenda, stressing that collaboration would be essential to achieving the desired economic turnaround.
He assured the nation that the Mahama administration remains committed to transparent governance and prudent fiscal management to drive meaningful change.
The 2025 Budget, he concluded, reflects the government’s vision of a transformed and prosperous Ghana.
