Mahama thanks Sierra Leonean President for solidarity after helicopter tragedy

President John Dramani Mahama has expressed profound appreciation to Sierra Leonean President Julius Maada Bio, for his show of solidarity following the recent helicopter crash in the Ashanti Region that claimed eight lives.
Mr. Mahama commended President Mr Bio for personally extending condolences on behalf of the people of Sierra Leone and the Economic Community of West African States(ECOWAS) community during Ghana’s period of national mourning.
He described the gesture as a testament to the strong bond between Ghana and Sierra Leone, as well as the spirit of unity that binds the ECOWAS sub-region.
The tragic crash, which occurred earlier this month, claimed the lives of five government officials and three military officers, plunging the nation into grief.
