Make Kumawu proud – Bawumia congratulates MP-elect
Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has congratulated the Kumawu MP-elect, Ernest Yaw Anim, for his victory in Tuesday’s by-election.
Mr Anim polled 15,364 beating NDC’s Kwasi Amankwaa who polled 3,723.
An independent candidate, Kwaku Duah, who was tipped to cause an upset performed below expectation garnering 2,478 votes.
Another independent candidate also known as Kwaku Duah managed a paltry 62 votes.
In a Facebook post, Dr Bawumia congratulated Mr Anim and urged him to make Kumawu proud in Parliament.
“Congratulations to Ernest Yaw Anim and Kumawu for this victory. Anim, go and make Kumawu proud and leave an indelible mark in Parliament. Thank You Kumawuman!” Dr Bawumia posted on Facebook.
