My gov't'll train one million youth in coding, software application – Bawumia

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of Ghana's governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), has pledged to train approximately 1 million young Ghanaians in coding and software applications if elected in the 2024 polls. Addressing a crowd in Kwahu Mpraeso on Saturday, March 30, following a special Easter health walk, he emphasised the importance of technological advancement for the country's youth.
"The future lies in technology, and our youth play a crucial role in driving this advancement. That's why I've committed to training about 1 million young Ghanaians in coding and software applications under my presidency," Dr. Bawumia stated.
In addition to this promise, the NPP flagbearer vowed to implement bold decisions if elected, including a new tax system.
"A vote for me signifies support for innovative solutions. Conversely, a vote for my opponent signifies adherence to outdated approaches. I am advocating new ideas and bold solutions to propel our nation forward. As part of this vision, I propose a new tax system featuring a flat tax rate and providing tax amnesty to businesses and individuals," he added.
Dr. Bawumia urged NPP supporters to unite and work diligently towards securing victory in the presidential elections and achieving a parliamentary majority.
