NDC modern-day saviour Allah will use to rescue Ghana-Baba Jamal

Former Member of Parliament for Akwatia and Deputy Campaign Coordinator for the National Chairman's Retail Campaign, Baba Jamal, has called on Muslims to rally behind the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming general elections.
Speaking at a durbar at Nhyiaeso in the Ashanti Region, Mr Baba Jamal described the NDC as a divinely chosen party poised to rescue Ghanaians from economic hardships.
Quoting verses from the Quran, he drew an allegorical comparison, stating that God (Allah) once used eagles to drive elephants into the wilderness, urging Ghanaians to replicate this by voting out the New Patriotic Party (NPP), symbolized by the elephant, in favour of the NDC, represented by the eagle.
“We want Muslims by deeds, not Muslims by words,” Baba Jamal stated.
“The NDC is the modern-day saviour Allah is using to alleviate the suffering of Ghanaians caused by the NPP government.”
He further alleged that Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, a self-professed Muslim, has not acted in the interest of the Islamic community, citing his opposition to a policy aimed at building a morgue for Muslims. He contrasted this with former President John Mahama, whom he described as more respectful of Islamic principles despite not being a Muslim.
Reciting Quranic verses, particularly Chapter 105:1-5, Baba Jamal called on NDC supporters to use these verses in conversations with NPP members, reinforcing his claim of divine support for the NDC.
Faustina Dery Promises Change for Nhyiaeso Constituency
The NDC’s Parliamentary Candidate for Nhyiaeso, Faustina Dery, also addressed the gathering, pledging to bring much-needed development to the Constituency if elected.
She expressed concern over the lack of essential social amenities in the area, such as markets and public toilets, and assured residents of her commitment to serve with humility.
“This Constituency deserves better, and I am here as a humble servant to bring that change,” she stated.
Madam Dery thanked party leaders and traditional authorities for supporting the event, urging constituents to choose the NDC for better representation and development.
The durbar drew party members, community leaders, and residents, all united in their call for a renewed mandate for the NDC to address the challenges facing their communities.
