NDC polls: Baba Jamal, Nana Oye Bampoe Addo lose parliamentary primaries

Former Akwatia MP Baba Jamal and Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection Nana Oye Bampoe Addo have both lost their tickets to represent the NDC as parliamentary candidates for election 2024.
In the Ayawaso East constituency, Baba Jamal lost Saturday’s primaries to the incumbent Nasser Mahama Toure who polled 452 votes.
Baba Jamal polled 309 votes while Dr Yakubu Azindow polled 245 votes.
In the Adentan constituency, Nana Oye Bampoe polled 989 but that was not enough as she was beaten by Mohammed Adam Ramadan who polled 1,015 votes. The third candidate Linda Assibi Awuni polled 506 votes.
