NDC race: Mahama no.1 on ballot paper | Thanks Kobeah for stepping down to support him
Former President John Dramani Mahama has expressed gratitude to businessman Ernest Kobeah, for not only pulling out of the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC), flagbearership race but also throwing his support behind him.
Mr Kobeah was part of the four who had filed their nomination to contest the flagbearer slot in the NDC primaries scheduled for May 13.
Speaking to party delegates at Gomoa West in the Central Region on Wednesday, 30 March 2023, Mr Mahama also disclosed he had picked the number one position on the ballot paper.
“Balloting has been done for the May 13 presidential primaries and the person who picked on my behalf picked number one so I’m number one on the ballot and God is telling us something,” Mr Mahama told the jubilant crowd.
“I thank you all for your dedication, support and prayers through it all, thus far. I also want to thank my younger brother, Ernest who has not only stepped down from the contest, but has declared his support for me,” he added.
