NDC vets 237 aspirants for MMDCE positions in Volta Region

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has completed the vetting of 237 individuals seeking appointment as Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) in the Volta Region.
The process, which began on January 15, 2025, concluded on January 28, 2025, with 30 female and 207 male aspirants participating.
Addressing the media after the vetting, Mr. Egypt Kudoto, Chairman of the vetting committee, commended the candidates for their commitment and willingness to serve their respective communities.
"We are grateful that these candidates have stepped forward to serve their people.
It is an important step towards bringing development to various areas," he stated.
He explained that the committee’s responsibility is to shortlist three candidates from each district and forward the names to President John Dramani Mahama, who will then make the final selection for the 18 districts in the Volta Region.
Mr. Kudoto urged residents of the region to support and collaborate with whoever is appointed, emphasizing the need for unity to drive development and progress in the area.
