Participate in Dec. 7 polls – Bawumia tells Ghanaians

Vice President and New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has called on Ghanaians to actively participate in the upcoming December, 7 general elections.
Dr. Bawumia also highlighted the importance of the upcoming elections in determining the nation's future.
Speaking at the Oguaa Fetu Afahye festival, Dr. Bawumia underscored the pivotal role of elections as a cornerstone of Ghana's democracy, where citizens exercise their right to choose their leaders and chart the course of national development.
"Never take this privilege for granted," he urged, pointing out that elections go beyond selecting leaders; they provide an opportunity for citizens to advocate for crucial issues like education, employment, healthcare, and the environment.
He encouraged every Ghanaian to make informed decisions at the ballot box, stressing that each vote is a vital voice in shaping the country’s direction.
Dr. Bawumia also made a passionate appeal for peace, tolerance, and respect during the election period, warning against violence and divisive rhetoric.
"Reject violence and engage in constructive dialogue," he advised, urging citizens to view their differences as a source of strength rather than division.
Reflecting on the unifying spirit of the Oguaa Fetu Afahye festival, Dr. Bawumia reminded attendees of the importance of valuing their heritage and striving for a prosperous Ghana.
He expressed hope that the festival would inspire a renewed dedication to the country's people, culture, and unity.
