President Mahama swears in Constitutional Review Committee

President John Dramani Mahama has officially sworn in members of the newly established Constitutional Review Committee, fulfilling his campaign promise to advance Ghana’s constitutional reform process.
The committee, constituted by the President on January 19, is chaired by Prof. H. Kwasi Prempeh, with Dr. Rainer Akumperigeya serving as Secretary.
Other members include Justice Sophia Adinyirah, Prof. Kwame Karikari, Mrs. Charlotte Osei, Dr. Godwin Djokoto, Ibrahim Tanko Amidu, and Dr. Esi Ansah.
During a brief swearing-in ceremony at the Office of the President, committee members took the Oath of Office and Oath of Secrecy, marking the official commencement of their mandate.
President Mahama expressed confidence in their expertise and ability to deliver on the critical task of reviewing Ghana’s constitution.
Chairman of the Committee, Prof. Kwasi Prempeh, thanked the President for his trust and praised his commitment to constitutional reforms.
He assured that the committee would produce a comprehensive and well-structured report to support Ghana’s socio-economic development.
