Said Sinare caught in a victory that has forgoten him- NPP's Rashid Salifu mocks

A member of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Ashanti Regional Communications Team, Mr Rashid Salifu, has launched a scathing attack on former Ghana Ambassador to Egypt and Saudi Arabia, H.E. Alhaji Said Sinare, accusing him of betraying his integrity and the Zongo communities for political favours that never materialised.
Rashid’s remarks follow recent comments by Alhaji Sinare, in which he criticised former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, urging him to refrain from speaking on the economy during the Mahama administration.
According to Rashid, Sinare’s continued attempts to discredit Dr. Bawumia are nothing more than desperate moves by a man abandoned by the very party he sought to please.
“Alhaji Sinare should bury his head in shame,” Rashid stated during an interview on a local radio station in the Ashanti Region. “He went around the country attacking Dr. Bawumia—his fellow Muslim brother—just to curry favour with John Mahama and the NDC.
And what did he get in return? Humiliation and political irrelevance.”
Describing Sinare as a “disgraced political puppet,” Rashid accused him of inciting Zongo communities against Dr. Bawumia in the lead-up to the 2024 general elections, only to be sidelined when it came time for appointments and recognition.
“You danced, screamed, and insulted on their behalf,” Rashid said. “But when the time came to share appointments, they dumped you like yesterday’s news.
You were used and discarded like a worn-out campaign cloth.”
He went on to challenge Alhaji Sinare to acknowledge the damage he caused to his political reputation, saying he had traded his faith and loyalty for empty political promises. “You are not a hero. You’re a political warning sign,” Rashid asserted.
In a biting conclusion, Rashid offered a pointed lesson: “It is better to stand with honour in defeat than to stoop for a victory that forgets you.
Let this be a bitter lesson to all who sell their souls for crumbs in the Zongo communities,” he concluded
