Salaga: NDC youth disrupt party meeting, vandalize properties

Tension is brewing in the camp of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) as persons alleged to be supporters of the incumbent member of parliament for Salaga South constituency Hajia Zuweira Ibrahimah besieged the Constituency office to disrupt a meeting organized by some constituency executives.
Some of the executives were allegedly beaten while properties including plastic chairs were destroyed.
In a 58 seconds video in circulation, the irate youth were seen vandalizing the plastic chairs.
Warning shots were also fired by some unidentified persons engaged in the vandalism.
Some of the injured executives have since been treated and discharged.
No arrest has since been made despite the issue been reported to the police by the Constituency Executives.
There has been some level of misunderstanding between the two factions after the parliamentary primaries in 2019.
The Constituency Chairman, youth organizer, organizer, communication director and women Organizer were said to have campaigned against the MP in the run-up to the 2020 general elections.
