Special Committee concludes vetting chaos probe amid Minority boycott

The Special Committee investigating the disruptions during the Appointment Committee’s vetting process has concluded its public hearings.
However, the proceedings were overshadowed by a boycott from the Minority, who cited concerns over the impartiality of the Committee’s Chair, Emmanuel Bedzra.
Despite the absence of Minority members, Chairman Bedzra assured the media that the committee would proceed with its findings and submit a report as planned.
Adding to the controversy, the Clerk to Parliament was also notably absent from the hearings, failing to appear before the committee to testify.
With the committee’s report now eagerly awaited, tensions remain high over the vetting process, as stakeholders anticipate the findings and potential implications for parliamentary proceedings.
