Vice President urges political appointees to press forward with renewed determination

Vice President Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang on Monday, May 26, 2025, attended a general meeting of political appointees at the Presidency, marking her official return to office.
The meeting brought together senior members of government to discuss ongoing efforts to advance President John Mahama’s national transformation agenda.
The Chief of Staff, Mr. Julius Debrah, welcomed the Vice President on behalf of the team, expressing their delight at having her back in office.
He also commended her for her continued dedication to public service and leadership.
In her address, Vice President Opoku-Agyemang expressed deep appreciation for the warm reception and praised the appointees for their unwavering commitment to the President’s vision of resetting and rebuilding the nation.
“I thank you for your well wishes and commend you for the remarkable work you continue to do in driving forward the President’s vision,” she said.
She encouraged her colleagues to move forward with renewed energy and determination, emphasising the importance of unity, purpose, and efficiency in delivering on the government's mandate.
“We must continue to press forward with purpose. The task ahead is significant, but together, with commitment and hard work, we will succeed in resetting and rebuilding our beloved country,” she added.
