We'II retain Sefwi Wiawso parliamentary seat – Napo charges NPP supporters

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Vice Presidential Candidate, has expressed strong confidence in the party’s chances of retaining the Sefwi Wiawso parliamentary seat in the Western North Region, attributing this optimism to the extensive development projects the NPP has implemented in the area.
Addressing a campaign rally in Sefwi Wiawso, the capital of Ghana’s Western North Region, Dr. Prempeh highlighted the positive impact of these projects on the community, expressing his belief that they would translate into strong electoral support.
He emphasized the NPP’s transformative development agenda, driven by the national vision of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, which he said is resonating with communities across the nation, including Sefwi Wiawso.
Expressing gratitude to the traditional ruler Katakyie Kwasi Bumangamah II and the residents for their warm reception, Dr. Prempeh viewed the event as a clear indication of growing support for Dr. Bawumia and the NPP’s parliamentary candidate, Festus Bumakama Agyapong.
He pointed to the NPP’s commitment to the Western North Region, dating back to former President John Agyekum Kufuor’s tenure, as evidence of the party’s dedication to the area’s progress.
Highlighting that around 80% of major development projects in Sefwi Wiawso during the Fourth Republic were initiated by the NPP, Dr. Prempeh underscored the party’s focus on sustainable growth.
He praised Mr Agyapong for his dedication to enhancing the welfare of Sefwi Wiawso’s residents and stressed his commitment to the community’s well-being.
Dr. Prempeh also noted the recent road infrastructure upgrades in Sefwi Wiawso, which have improved connectivity and accessibility for residents and visitors alike.
Encouraging the community to vote overwhelmingly for Festus Bumakama Agyapong and Dr. Bawumia, he reaffirmed the NPP’s commitment to bringing more projects and sustainable growth to the region.
Festus Bumakama Agyapong, the NPP’s Parliamentary Candidate for Sefwi Wiawso, also spoke at the rally, urging residents to support the NPP in the upcoming elections to ensure continued progress and development for the area.
