We must work hard if we want to win 2024 – Rockson Dafeamekpor tells NDC

The Member of Parliament (MP) for South Dayi in the Volta Region, Rockson-Nelson Etse Kwami Dafeamekpor, has urged Executives and Parliamentary Candidate aspirants of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to work hard if the goal is to win the 2024 general elections.
The South Dayi MP’s comments follow results of the Tuesday 23 May 2023 by-elections in Kumawu, Ashanti Region.
The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate won the by-election after he polled 15,364 beating NDC’s Kwasi Amankwa who polled 3,723.
An independent candidate Kwaku Duah who was tipped to cause an upset performed below expectation garnering 2,478 votes.
Another independent candidate also known as Kwaku Duah managed a paltry 62 votes.
Reacting to the results, the South Dayi MP tweeted: “This is to confirm that at Kumawu we didn’t record 3 or 4 votes as I earlier on indicated.
“I apologise for that but the figures were still too low in places as compared to the great effort that went in.”
He added: “It means we must all work extra hard as Executives & PCs if we’re to win 2024.”
