The 2025 KGL Foundation Inter-Regional U-17 Colts Championship has officially kicked off at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram, running from Friday, September 19 to Saturday, September 27.
This year’s edition features 12 teams, comprising U-17 selections from all 10 Regional Football Associations alongside the GFA Elite Academies from the Northern and Greater Accra Regions.
Defending champions, the Western Region, headline Group A, where they opened their campaign against the Upper West Region.
In Group B, fixtures include:
Greater Accra Elite B vs Upper East Region
Central Region vs Brong Ahafo Region
Ashanti Region vs Eastern Region (last year’s beaten finalists).
The semi-finals are scheduled for Thursday, September 25, with the grand finale set for Saturday, September 27.
Since its inception four years ago, the KGL U-17 Colts Championship has become a key platform for unearthing young football talent, with many players progressing into Ghana’s junior national teams, domestic leagues, and international opportunities abroad.
