Ghana’s Black Princesses held their first training session in Mbombela on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, as preparations intensified for their decisive return leg against South Africa in the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.

Head coach Charles Sampson put the 20 players through their paces with a session focused on endurance drills, ball retention, team defending, wing play, and shooting as the team fine-tunes tactics for the must-win encounter.

The Princesses are pushing to reach the fourth and final round of the qualifiers after being held to a 2-2 draw in the first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The result leaves Ghana needing a strong victory away from home to secure progression.

The return fixture is scheduled for Saturday, February 14, at the Nelspruit-Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit, with kickoff set for 1 PM.

With qualification on the line, the Black Princesses will be aiming to deliver a commanding performance on South African soil.
