Caleb Yirenkyi emerges as potential Casemiro replacement at Manchester United
Manchester United have stepped up their interest in Ghanaian midfielder Caleb Yirenkyi, with the 20-year-old attracting attention as a potential long-term replacement for Casemiro.
The FC Nordsjaelland star, a Right to Dream Academy graduate, recently impressed in the Superliga against Sonderjyske, earning Man of the Match honours by scoring and assisting in his side’s victory. His performances have increased his profile, making him one of Denmark’s most highly-rated young exports.
Manchester United’s director of football, James Wilcox, reportedly sent scouts to watch Yirenkyi at the weekend, according to TEAMTalk. The club sees the versatile midfielder as a possible option to fill the gap to be left by Casemiro’s departure.
Arsenal are also tracking Yirenkyi and could move for him in the summer, while Brighton and Hove Albion have shown interest in the player as a potential replacement for their midfielder Carlos Baleba, should he leave.
Yirenkyi’s recent form and versatility have positioned him as a player with the potential to step into a key midfield role at a top Premier League club.
Last year, Ghana’s Black Stars squad for the 2025 Unity Cup included the 19-year-old sensation as he earned his first senior call-up.
