Dembele's Ballon d'Or victory's for Africa, PSG star's mother says

In a post-event interview, the mother of the 2025 Ballon d'Or winner, Ousmane Dembele, has dedicated the victory to the entire African continent.
Expressing praise to God, Fatimata hinted at touring their native Senegal with the trophy, and other parts of the continent, too.
“Alhamdulillah-All praise and thanks be to God - It’s the Ballon d’Or of all Africa. We are going to take it to Senegal, to everywhere,” she said contentedly, in this video.
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) winger Dembele clinched biggest honour in football, the 2025 Ballon d’Or award, for a stellar 2024/2025 performance, besting teammate Vitinha, Liverpool's Mohamed Salah, and Lamine Yamal and Raphinha, both of Barcelona.
When Dembele received the award from 2005 winner Ronaldinho, he underlined the victory was "a dream come true".
He expressed profound appreciation for his family, recognising his mother's support in particular.
Dembele was born to a Senegalese mother and Malian father.
