I want to change the image about Africa – Patrice Evra to Akufo-Addo

Football legend Patrice Evra while paying a courtesy call on the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has said he dreams of changing the way Africa is perceived by the international world.
“My dream now is to change the image of Africa,” he revealed.
“That’s why I’ve been [to] Senegal, Cameroon [and] we’ve been in Nigeria,” he outlined.
The French football coach visited the Ghanaian leader in the company of representatives from financial technology company Chipper Cash.
Evra noted he intends to harness the power of social media on his crusade to improve the image of Africa.
“I really want, through my social media, to change [and] to make sure this new generation, they know they can be successful in their own country,” he stressed.
“I was born in Dakar, I played for France. When I was young, my parents gave me the choice to choose my national team but growing up in France, I picked France.
“But I understood later it’s very important to pick your own country because it’s become a political issue,”
He explained that by saying, “When you win, you’re a French player, when you lose you’re a Senegalese player,” the room reacted with laughter.
Patrick Evra also added, “I’ve just had enough of seeing this image of Africa about poverty and there’s so much talent, so much creativity, and Africa is such a rich country.”
He revealed that while in Ghana, he means to network and “meet with people and talk with people and when people see all my social media videos and when I speak, a different image of Africa [is projected].”
The businessman who has more than 10 million followers on Instagram alone, also expressed hope that an "African team, maybe one day will win the World Cup."
