Mahama demands detailed report on Ghana football from GFA

The Office of the President has officially requested a comprehensive report on the state of Ghana football from the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
According to reliable sources, the GFA has prepared a 75-page document detailing various aspects of football management, development, and performance in the country.
The report is said to be ready for submission to the Presidency.
The move signals the government’s intent to take a closer look at the current state of football in Ghana, which has faced significant challenges in recent years, including issues of governance, infrastructure, and team performance on the international stage.
This request aligns with the government’s broader agenda to enhance sports administration and promote excellence in Ghana’s sporting disciplines.
The content of the report is expected to provide insights into the challenges and opportunities within Ghana’s football ecosystem, offering recommendations for improvement and collaboration between the GFA and the government.
More updates are anticipated following the report's submission and subsequent review by the Presidency.
