Ahafo: Asunafo North DCE engages women on Women’s Development Bank initiative

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Asunafo North, Mr. Benjamin Yinkah, has held an engagement with women in the district to sensitise them on the NDC government’s proposed Women’s Development Bank, an initiative championed by President John Dramani Mahama.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Yinkah explained that the Ahafo Regional Coordinator for MASLOC has proposed the establishment of a regional office at Kukuom in Asunafo South, which will make it easier for women in Asunafo North to access financial support.
He stressed that while not everyone may secure government employment, many people require capital to start or expand their own businesses, and initiatives like the Women’s Development Bank are designed to address such needs.
The DCE urged the women to exercise patience and continue to trust in the NDC government, assuring them that though immediate solutions may not be possible for everyone, the government remains committed to empowering each household if given the mandate to continue in office.
Mr. Yinkah also revealed that job vacancies exist within the district, awaiting approval from higher authorities before recruitment can begin.
