Awutu Senya East MCE relocates traders to Iron City Market as part of Kasoa decongestion exercise

As part of efforts to decongest Kasoa and restore order along major roads and pedestrian walkways, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Awutu Senya East in the Central Region, Mr Seth Sabah Serwornoo-Banini, has announced the relocation of all traders operating on tarmacked roads and walkways to the newly developed Iron City Satellite Market.
During a tour to assess the state of the modern market facility at Iron City, Mr Serwornoo-Banini underscored the importance of ensuring safety, free movement, and cleanliness within the municipality.
He stressed that trading on pedestrian walkways and roads poses a significant danger to both traders and commuters.
The MCE said the Iron City market was constructed to provide a safer and more organised space for commercial activities and that the relocation forms part of a broader municipal agenda to enhance urban management and improve the overall aesthetic of Kasoa.
He appealed to traders to cooperate with the directive and assured them that the satellite market is adequately equipped to accommodate their needs.
