Group demands termination of Ghana Link Network Services contract

A pressure group known as the New Voters Forum is calling on the government to immediately cancel its contract with Ghana Link Network Services Limited, operators of the Integrated Customs Management System (ICUMS) under the Ghana Revenue Authority.
At a press briefing, the group's convenor, Conqueror Mawudzo Korto, expressed grave concerns over the performance of the ICUMS platform, describing it as unreliable and ineffective.
He argued that the system's inefficiencies are undermining Ghana’s competitiveness as a logistics hub in West Africa.
Mr. Korto called for an independent audit of the contractual agreement between the Ministry of Trade and Ghana Link, stating that transparency and accountability are essential given the strategic importance of the country’s trade infrastructure.
He further asserted that the alleged capture of Ghana’s trade system through what he described as a “corrupt model” could pose a serious threat to the nation’s economic future if left unchecked.
The group is therefore urging civil society organisations, industry stakeholders, the media, and Parliament to intervene to prevent potential economic losses and safeguard national interests
