CCP Awards: Image Consortium honours Trasacco CEO, MTN, Krane, Promasidor-Furler, others
Fifteen companies have been acknowledged with awards for their various contributions to the building and properties sector in Ghana at the maiden edition of the City Construction and Properties Awards 2019 (CCP Awards 19).
Organised by Image Consortium, a marketing, projects and logistics company under the auspices of the Ministry of Works and Housing, in collaboration with the Ghana Institute of Architects (GIA), Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE) & the Ghana Institution of Surveyors (GIS), the awards ceremony formed part of the 17th International Building Construction & Property Exhibition.
The CCP Awards is aimed at recognising and rewarding stakeholders who have contributed enormously to the built environment to facilitate infrastructural development to boost the economy of Ghana.
Eventually, the CCP Awards will become the yardstick by which stakeholders and other industry players will measure performance and success in the sector.
Executive Chairman and CEO of Trasacco Group, Mr Ernesto Taricone; Energo Project Ghana Limited, MTN, and Ashesi University, are some notable individuals and institutions who picked prestigious awards at the event held on Friday, 24 October 2019 at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).
Mr Eric Asumadu, a member of the Board of Directors of Image Consortium, publishers of the City Construction and Properties Magazine, told Class91.3FM that the awards will be expanded to a grand scale in subsequent editions.
“Next year, we are expecting something greater. This is something we want to continue and it will get better next year, so, people should lookout for new things subsequently,” he stated.
He described the awards ceremony and the entire three-day exhibition as an “exciting, thrilling and successful programme” as the stakeholders in the properties and construction sector, both foreign and local participants, including architects, engineers, surveyors, policymakers, traders and buyers of construction and building materials, consultants and construction financiers, were able to converge on the AICC to transact business, network, collaborate and provide modern solutions to challenges in the sector.
