HAPPY programme to celebrate Ghanaian women on March 10

The Harnessing Agricultural Productivity and Prosperity for Youth (HAPPY) Programme consortium is set to honour Ghanaian women with a special event on Monday, March 10, 2025, as part of International Women’s Day celebrations.
The event, scheduled to take place at the forecourt of Aglow Processing Factory in Potsin, Gomoa, Central Region, will commence at 10:00 AM under the theme: "Accelerating Inclusion of Young Women and Persons with Disabilities to Drive Innovation and a Thriving Agribusiness Sector."
Ahead of the event, Daniel Fahene Acquaye, CEO of Agri-Impact Limited, emphasized the critical role women play in Ghana’s agricultural sector, working tirelessly to enhance food security.
"Women are at the heart of Ghana’s agriculture, driving productivity and sustainability.
This event is an opportunity to recognize their contributions and inspire more inclusion and innovation in the sector," he stated.
Ama Gyan, Gender, Youth, and Social Inclusion (GYSI) Lead at Agri-Impact Limited, expressed hope that the event will not only celebrate women’s efforts across various industries, particularly in agriculture but also serve as a platform for expanding opportunities for young women and persons with disabilities.
